HRDX is a global event concept designed by Major League Baseball to reach new audiences
In 2022 it launched in Seoul, Mexico City and London, featuring 3-on-3 teams composed of MLB legends, women’s baseball, softball stars, and local talents. The format is designed to make the game more dynamic and accessible, with a smaller field and elements such as elevated home plates and podium-mounted pitcher’s mounds. Additional bonus point opportunities and fan interaction creates a festival-like atmosphere around the games.
Eyecatching screen content is vital for live sports events, and so I was tasked with creating dynamic motion graphics that would show throughout the different stages of the games. Like the game, I wanted the visuals to be fast-paced, exciting and engaging so that they enhanced the atmosphere and caught the attention of the audience.
